XLAB Cloner is an Android app that runs several independent copies of the same app on one phone, each copy with its own data space and account. XLAB is finishing XLAB Cloner for release on Google Play.
What is XLAB Cloner used for?
XLAB Cloner lets one person stay signed in to several accounts of the same app on the same phone without logging out and back in. Three common uses:
- Separating personal and work accounts of a messaging or social app.
- Playing two accounts of the same game on one device.
- Keeping a copy of an app with its own data for testing, without touching the main install.
What does XLAB Cloner support?
XLAB Cloner runs on Android 6 through Android 16 and keeps the full interface of the original app in every copy.
| Item | XLAB Cloner supports |
|---|---|
| Android versions | Android 6 – Android 16 |
| App types | Popular social, messaging, music, email and game apps |
| Copy interface | Full, same as the original app |
| Google sign-in | Separate for each copy |
| Distribution | Google Play (coming soon) |
Which apps cannot run as a copy?
Some apps refuse to run as a copy, most commonly banking and e-wallet apps. XLAB Cloner respects that choice by the app developer and does not try to get around their checks.
When does XLAB Cloner launch?
XLAB Cloner is being finished and will be released on Google Play; the final name may change at launch. Release news will be posted on the XLAB Blog.
Another XLAB project: XCloudPhone — cloud phones running on real Android hardware.
